Photography was the cupid that brought Jillian and Dave together in 1975 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They married 5 months later, had beautiful twin daughters in 1978 and Jillian was fortunate to be able to stay home to look after their family.


In 1988, Dave and Jillian purchased 'The Camera Place' business and the family moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. In 1995, a second store was opened in the neighbouring city of St. Catharines, Ont. Canada. Jillian managed the second location, under Dave's leadership.

In 2003, Jillian decided to follow her crafting instincts and allotted a small section over to scrapbooking supplies. As any seasoned scrapbooker knows, scrapbooking materials tend to grow rather substantially. Gradually Dave realised that Jillian's store was being taken over...and his photographic merchandise was being relegated to less and less space. Dave, being the character he is, took this turfing out in his stride and suffice to say, the St. Catharines location is now 98% scrapbooking and totally under Jillian's domain.

Jillian has been able to combine her passion for photography with her design/crafting creativity and loves to help others enjoy and learn the art of scrapbooking, cards and photography. (Dave's love of photography continues in full bloom in his store in Niagara Falls, with an occasional trip to St. Catharines to teach photography to Jillian's clientele.)
